I never knew about the secret daughter, the one who got born because a bogus abortionist took an unsuspecting young woman’s money and left her pregnant. Now that baby she last saw in the delivery room was coming for Christmas with her baby.”

Twenty five years ago, after the birth of my first daughter, I found my birth mother. Soon after our initial reunion this quote appeared in a HERS Column in the New York Times called Consequences. The author is a friend of my birth mothers. I am “the one who got born”.

But getting born is complicated, isn’t it?

Once I’d found my birth mother and my birth father the real search began- for my Self.   I’m hoping that this blog will help me connect with other members of the adoption community, share stories, network, heal and help others heal.

Looking forward to meeting you.
